This part is used to compress the air from the environment into the Air Tank Reservoir at a pressure of 10 bar. It operates by sourcing power from a hydraulic pump that is already incorporated into the vehicles systems.

This Air Compressor model is removed from the engine block (unlike the Engine Driven model) by the way of hydraulics. Because of this it leaves room for an alternator that is typically only able to be powered directly from the engine. As such there is greater versatility as an electrical system can also be added to the vehicle if needed.
