PROJECT OVERVIEW
Engaged by Sydney Trains to supply and fabricate 20 Transmission Frames for the Xplorer / Endeavour fleet. Each frame was precision-built using custom jigs to ensure dimensional accuracy before and after welding, with stringent QA processes including ITPs, material certification, welding procedures, and CMM dimensional verification.
A critical challenge was controlling welding-induced shrinkage to guarantee precise fitment. Following first-frame approval, fitment checks were conducted at Eveleigh Maintenance Centre, ensuring each frame met Sydney Trains’ exacting standards for quality, accuracy, and operational reliability
