Design / Drafting
We solve complex issues across industry sectors by developing one-off design solutions and certifications. Chess can offer 3D modelling, detailed shop drawings, and drafting services. Site placement solutions are available, or you can choose to work from the Chess office.

Project Management
Project management is a differentiating factor at the heart of every successful client relationship. Once we receive an order, a project manager is assigned to coordinate all aspects of the job. Special emphasis is given to client liaison; full documentation can be supplied.

Fabrication
Fabrication is the cornerstone of our business activities. We have separate workshops that concentrate on all aspects of sheet metal, heavy fabrication, machining and fitting. Our extensive fabrication capacity applies to Sydney and Perth, with our largest machining centres located in Perth to accommodate the mining industry.
We maintain separate areas and equipment for stainless steel. Black and exotic steels are common, and blasting and painting services are performed in-house. A detailed parts catalogue is kept for clients who want repeat works. All processes are fully traceable via a bespoke and comprehensive IT program.

Installation
Our installation services are mostly focused around two areas: factory equipment, including shutdowns, and site installation typified by road signs, gantry structures, barriers, railing and heavy plates.

Maintenance
For off-site projects, we will set up remotely to fully cover the client’s requirements. This usually means we are site-based or working across several sites, including appropriate tradespeople (e.g., fitter, welder,fabricator, rigger, etc.). We supply a specialised and fully equipped ute or van to support our staff.

Consultancy
We offer a professional consultancy and compliance service for site inspections, including the following reports:
- Certified Senior Welding Inspector (AS 1796 CERT 10; IIW IWI S; AS 2214; IIW IWS; CSWI)
- ISO Consultant (Certified Quality Engineer)
- General site visit inspection and equipment functionality reporting
